I had previously posted a bad review on this game.Well I am here with a changed mind! I have played it NON stop for the past 4 days, I waited that long to edit my review just to make sure I still felt the same and I do. This game is awesome but you have to know HOW to make it awesome. Basically I did not understand how to work it the first time I played it so I felt very dissapointed in it,but once I got the hang of how the game is SUPPOSED to be played it met my hopes dreams and expectations! Take note here I had originally given this game 1 star but I am changing my rating to 5 stars. Here is the trick, you want to go into the game and go to Story Mode and complete each tent in the set, this may take you a couple of hours or less depending on how much talent you possess( but even if you don't it is very fun!) there are only a few games in the Story mode that are really annoying (the fishing game, the lasso rope, matching Hamms movements, the teacups that spin, and the butterfly board) but all of the others are really exciting and fun! Once you have unlocked all the games you have earned enough tickets to go into the Prizes department (back in Andys room mode) where you want to purchase each game in each category (animals, western, space, army etc.) Once purchased you want to go to the free play mode and choose Quick play, there you will see a wheel with the symbols for each game type category, you want to grab the little yellow triangles underneath it and turn it whichever way you want too. There you can choose any game you'd like to play and you can play them over and over anytime you want. Just make sure when you are done playing to exit by pressing the B button over and over till you are back at the beginning menu with the Toy Story Mania logo and the circle showing to press the (1) from there you can go back to the Wii Menu without losing any of the games you have unlocked.Another tip many people complain about sitting through the instructions each time all you have to do is press A and B at the same time repeatedly and it will rush through them super fast and take you to the beginning of the game. All in all this game becomes very very addictive and super fun! ( My favorite games are Tossed in Space and Tossed in Deep Space,Flying Discs in Space, Space Hoops,Hamm and Eggs,Bacon and Eggs,All 3 of Bo Peeps balloon Pops,Both Rootin Tootin Shootins,The Mine Cart, and all the Green Army man plate breaks). I recommend this game to anyone who has ever enjoyed theirself at an arcade or carnival and any fans of Toy Story.Would make a great Christmas present for anyone!

As a fan of arcade style shooting video games, Toy Story Mania is great fun. If you like tin can alley, duck hunt or Point Blank you will love it. Also a good game for fans of the Disney World/Land attraction. Plus my score is always higher than my husband's.
Awesomely Fun!!!!!

I just bought this Friday and it is a very fun game. My daughter loves it, too. I've been on the ride at Disneyworld and this game is the closest you can get to it. A lot of the games are based from the ride. The animation is awesome. However, the 3D isn't what it is cracked up to be, but the games are still a blast. They have added a few new games as well. It's fun for the whole family and great to use to have some family time.
Great Fun for Whole Family

Love the game! It is as close as you can come to the original ride at Walt Disney World. We just came back from Florida and my daughter loved this ride. I decided to get the game based on what a fellow vacationer had told me about it. While nothing can be the actual ride, the graphics are good, game is entertaining, and it is user friendly. I do not really like anything 3D for TV sets as they rarely work and I have a 19". However I was pleasantly surprised that I could actually enjoy the 3D effect in this game. (You have the option and do not have to use the 3D if you do not want to.) I feel I got my money's worth out of this game!
Love It or Hate It!

It seems people either really love this game OR really hate it... I count myself and my family in the former. We love it! Like most of the people who love it we have experienced the Toy Story Mania (TSM) ride at Disneyland and this is a pretty good replication of the ride considering it is just a video game. The Wii captures the interactiveness of the real ride like no other video game system could. I gave it a four for fun just because I'm comparing it to the TSM ride which of course it can't beat. Like those who hate it, I have to admit initially the game is quite frustrating to maneuver through. The written instructions that come with it is minimal and the on screen layout is not necessarily intuitive. Having to successfully pass each game before "unlocking" it for future play was annoying... until I realized that the more you play any game you quickly build up points and then you can use those points to "unlock" any game you want for "free play" and then you can either play each game individually, all at once, or mix and match. TSM is kind of like that... the more you learn the little tricks the more enjoyable the overall experience is and the more you realize how much thought was put into it. For example, you do not have to watch introductions or instructions all the time... just click on the A and B buttons at the same time and fast forward through. The games are "simple" because that is what it is supposed to be... carnival shoot 'em up types of games... however, on another level the specific tasks within each game are not all "simple" to complete which makes it more challenging. Playing against someone is much more fun than alone. On the down side (as has been mentioned here before) the 3D sucks, the cursor does disappear at times, your arm can get sore from all the button pressing, and I am not a big fan of the remote shaking. On the upside it is visually appealing (stylized to appear "simple" and to have the illusion of depth), has most of the characters with the voices (except it seems Mr. Potato Head is noticeably missing... although I did not play the whole TSM yet), and actually has more games than the real TSM ride. And although it does not have the original songs from the movie, if my memory serves me correctly neither does the TSM ride. This does seem to have the same music from the ride. My 5 year old daughter loves to play TSM (especially the mini games) but still she doesn't comprehend all the fine aspects of the game (which again shows that there are many levels to the game for all to enjoy). TSM is an excellent family and party game and should not be missed. Perhaps you can purchase one at a discount from someone who misjudged the game.
